Ram Kishen Sahib re located his seat at Tajpur in the 18th century. He was very religious person, he respected and welcomed Saints from all religion’s to Tajpur State. Once Ram Kishen Sahib was hunting in jungle when he came across Baba Gorakhnath Ji. He with due respect looked after him. Baba was impressed and asked Ram Kishen Sahib to ask for a wish, since he was issueless, he asked for a child, Baba Gorakhnath blessed him and told him that he will be blessed with Son and he will visit Tajpur to bless the child. Ram Kishen Sahib was blessed with a son. Baba Gorakhnath Ji visited Tajpur State and blessed the Raja and his family members. He buried a Trishul and Chimta in the Tajpur Fort, as this would protect the Tajpur family members from evil spirits and enemies. In 1960’s when the foundation of RGNP, Inter College was being Dug the workers sported the Trishul and Chimta, they wanted to take out them out, they were surprised to see both, the Trishul and Chimta further going inside the ground and disappearing.
The Raja’s regularly visited Ayodhaya (Birth place of Lord Rama) in UP to seek the blessings of Shri Shri 108 shri Vedanti Ji Maharaj (Shri Ram Valabha Sharan Ji) and his disciples Pandit Ram Valabh Bharsharan Ji Maharaj and shri Ram Padaraj Das Ji Maharaj . The “Janeyu” ceremony (Tying of Holy white thread) of all children of Tajpur family was performed here by the Swami ji.
The members of the Tajpur State family worshiped Shri Shri 108 Shri Swami Krishan Swaroop Parmahans, he possessed supernatural powers. He was a Gujjar by caste and belonged to village Dadri near Meerut on Meerut – Muzaffarnagar road. Even today there are lacs of followers spread over western Uttar Pradesh. He has 30 Ashrams in this area. The Devotees come from far off places to offer prayers and seek blessings as the wishes of his devotees are always fulfilled. Raja Gajendranath Rikh (Tikka Sahib) and his wife Rani Bhawani Devi (Tikka Rani) of Tajpur State, Line – 2 were his devotees and they donated the land for constructing Ashram in Village Puvena, Raja-Ka_Tajpur. Every year even today, on Basant Panchami thousands of devotees from far off villages visit the Ashram to seek blessings. The mantra they chant is “Tatsath Hare Ram”.
Raja Jasjit Singh Sahib and descendants later on followed Swami Bhramanand Ji, who stays in an Ashram in Deoband, in Saharanpur District, UP. He along with his disciples Swami Vivekanand Ji and Swami Dipankar Ji visit Tajpur frequently. All family members of Line – 1 of Tajpur family regularly visit the Ashram in Deoband. Raja Shailendrajit Singh Sahib, Rajkumar Inderjit Singh, Rajkumari Anusuya and Colonel Sandeep Sharma visited Swami Bhramanand Ji, at his Ashram in Deoband in April 2019 to seek his blessings.
In the mid 1990’s, the Tajpur family came in contact with Swami Sahib Singh Ji popularly known as “Chadi Wale Baba Ji”. Swami Ji who is a devotee of Goddess “Ratroi Ma” (Avtar of Ma Kali). He is located at Ratroi Mata Temple in village Gangiri, on Aligarh – Kasganj road which is 200 Kms from Raja-Ka-Tajpur. He has spiritual powers; he can cure incurable diseases just by the touch of Chadi (Stick). All family members regularly visit him for blessings. He visited Tajpur in 1999 thousands of people gathered to seek his blessings. Even today family members visit Swami Sahib Singh regularly.
